Photo Albums...

These photo albums contain reasonably sized pictures for easy viewing, so they do load a bit slowly. Please be patient as the pages come up.

As time goes on I'll add photos from some of our regular meetings showing us having fun listening to speakers, looking over the exhibits, clamoring at the auction, craving the door prize drawing prizes, and socializing during the break.

For those of you interested in such things, I shot most of the photos on this site with a Sony Mavica Model FD-83 digital camera. I used the default 640X480 setting at normal quality, because the image quality seems sufficient at that setting, and I can get around 40 or so pictures on a 1.44mb floppy (the small file sizes also helps speed up image loading times over the internet). I've always been especially impressed with the battery life (it charges pretty quickly too). Other pluses are the superb intelligent-flash and terrific macro capabilities.
My current beauty is a Nikon Coolpix 4300 (purchased December 2002). I'm still getting used to it, but it seems like a real winner and typically has good reviews and user ratings. It's a four megapixel wonder that has great optics, a good macro mode (for coins and my industrial uses), and the size and weight is about half that of my old Sony. I sold the Sony to my workplace, so if I ever miss it I can always visit it and play around a little bit for nostalgia's sake.
